We had one for ds when he was 1, and did poached salmon, a ham, hot bread, pates etc, and several salads, cheese etc all slightly nicer than we would buy a bit deli style - but it was so easy and only part baked bread to acutally cook.

Lionesss, I'm planning a buffet for my dd's 3rd birthday - friends and close family too. I haven't a clue where to start... Am thinking of perhaps buying some platters of sandwiches/snacks etc from M&S or similar for the adults, then trying to make sandwiches (e.g. using cutters for different shapes), dips, etc for the toddlers. Just not sure when I'll have the time to prepare lots of food and do birthday cake and get party ready... can I steal all your ideas please ?!!
