I've been given 2 kilos of black grapes from a friend's garden...

Now, there is NO WAY we will be able to eat them all before they become mush so I'm wondering what to do with them? They are lovely and sweet and have been out in the frost so are v. mushy inside. Any suggestions?

WINE

Ah, perhaps I should add, "that is quick and easy and does not require specialist equipment?"

Grape jelly?

broguemum · 22/10/2009 14:40

How does one make grape jelly? I shall go and google.

Anyone made grape jam? Or is that sort of the same thing?

Freeze them - frozen grapes are lurrrvely

Ah! Now that sounds more like my level of cooking!

Second wine!

I second putting them in the freezer to eat frozen.

Grape jelly is the same thing as grape jam, it is just a smooth thing. Definately make some.

Also, you could always make a big grape cheesecake with some of them

OK, we have all gorged ourselves on black grapes and now I am making grape jelly with the rest. I will see if I can get my hands on some more for freezing. Thanks y'all.
