Help- have bought stuff to cook JO's lamb shank recipe from Jamies how to cook. The one that you cook in oven wrapped in tin foil.

But looked it up on internet and several posters said whan they cooked it all veggies burnt to a crisp and shank vv overdone. They blamed incorrect oven temp (200) or timing in recipe 2.5 hours.

Has anyone cooked this?? did it turn out ok?

Bit late now...but I did the one in spicy tomato and worked out ok. I would always assume shanks would cook best in sauce slow and low temp. Shame about that but try this one out of the Naked chef book.

I think they need a long simmer too. I have a nice lamb shank, white wine and white bean with (lots of) garlic and rosemary recipe. It involves a long time stewing but the meat falls off the bones in the end.
