Roast chunks of them.

wedges are good, especially if you drizzle them with maple syrup half way though cooking them. A also ate a totally delicious sweet potato and butternut squash dauphinoise at a friend's house - slice squash and potato, layer them up in an ovenproof dish, pour over a mixture of milk and cream (think my friend infused the milk with garlic and thyme) and bake. It was gorgeous, though not necessarily very virtuous.

Gratin sounds yummalicious...

Sweet potato chips - baked or fried. So good.

Candied yams?... only if you've got a sweet tooth! Very popular in the southern states of the US as side dish to fried chicken

There's an ottolenghi recipe where you slice the sweet potatoes, cook them in butter and honey, then serve them with a spicy tomato and spinach combo. It is heavenly - I don't have the recipe though (waiting for my mum to return the book!).

We had them tonight with roast dinner. I just chopped them up and roast them with a bit of olive oil and pepper.

When I make a shepherds pie, I make the mash for the topping with half and half sweet and ordinary potatoes. It is very tasty

Love the sound of the Dauphinoise Kemble

Sweet potato pie, yum. Use like pumpkin.
I also have a sweet potato souffle recipe somewhere.
