Crumble without fruit???

So at some point today i will be making an apple crumble for dp, all well and good for him, but for me hater of all fruit, i want to make a little crumble for me, so what can i use as a filling instead i'm thinking toffee or does that sound silly?

open to suggestions

I suddenly get a craving for banoffee crumble, which I'm sure doesn't exist, but sounds good.

It sure exist and is the best ever crumble (a billion calories of banoffee goodness).

Basically cut banana into chunks, caramelise with some light brown sugar (they go soft and pulpy), make a toffee sauce (equal parts butter and brown sugar melted together, add double cream and a dash of whiskey). Put the banana in your crumble dish, pour over half the toffee sauce, top with crumble and bake. Serve with cream and toffee sauce. You’re welcome.

Bananas are about the only fruit he'll eat, I might see if he'd like this.
