Don't shoot me for mentioning the 'C' word.

I want to make a pud this year, should I be doing it now?

Garage.
Really anywhere cool & dark would be good.
Perhaps back of kitchen cupboard.

Also, I find the earlier you make them, the better they taste. I only made mine a few weeks before Christmas last year and it didn't taste anywhere near as nice as the one I made months before the previous year.

Electric steamer will be fine on the day, I usually have all the veg in mine though, can't go back to boiled veg after tasting steamed hehe.

I found some white pudding basins online but I don't know what size I will need. Delia says use a 1.2L bowl but the bowl are sold in cm/inches

I still have one from last Christmas which will be delicious. A friend had one of mine from 2 years ago and ate it last week - he said it was the most delicious one he had ever tasted I soak my fruit in amaretto for a week before and they gently feed it before christmas.
