Can I use red wine instead of white wine??

I've got half a bottle of red to use up (drink it I hear you say!!) and I'm doing a mushroom/bacon/cream/tagliatelle thing tonight which I'd usually put white wine in.

Should I put the red in instead, or just not bother with either?

I'd leave it out, think red will turn it an awfully unappetising colour, drink it

If you want to put the wine in then leave out the cream.

Agree with montifer

Ha ha - you will have pink dinner!

I'd leave it out!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/08/2009 12:25

Red wine and cream do not mix - I would drink the wine and leave the dinner as it is.

Haha - I didn't think about the pink result

Ok down the hatch it is!
