I probably would, but I am lax aswell.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 05/08/2009 19:15

of course not, 4 days for chicken is too much.

MrsBadger · 05/08/2009 19:30

I don't think I would tbh

yoghurt etc is one thing but meat (esp meat that's been fiddled with, iyswim) I am more careful about

I wouldn't and you really shouldn't being pregnant.

MaybeAfterBreakfast · 05/08/2009 19:31

no, and definitely not if pg.

Claire2301 · 05/08/2009 19:32

Nope. No way.

Mintyy · 05/08/2009 19:32

Absolutely definitely not. This is chicken! Salmonella could kill you. I understand the hating waste thing but, really, come on, is it worth the risk?

LynetteScavo · 05/08/2009 19:32

Hell NO!

wonderingwondering · 05/08/2009 19:32

Four days! No way. Freeze when you buy them in future! Esp when pregnant, and so early on, def not worth the risk.

blametheparents · 05/08/2009 19:33

Yuck, no way.

Let him eat it if he wants, I would not

MummyElk · 05/08/2009 19:35

love it. thank you all!
i don't usually pay much attention to dates but agree with mrs badger, it's already been mucked about with! and it's chicken, scary stuff.
DH can do what he wants, I'll stick to the chip sandwich (which is all i really want anyway seem to have evening sickness).
[and i meant to freeze them just the weekend ran away with me]
Cheers all

Make it clear if he eats them and gets ill you will not be looking after him and if salmonella can kill you I would forbid him to eat them tbh.

lambanana · 05/08/2009 19:42

I wouldn't but then I am a wuss about sell by dates. If it was my dh he would eat them but I would advise against it if you are pg.
