As I am pregnant and strangely craving it for some reason. Standard sausages just will not do .

Don't know, but I'm happy to post you some if you CAT me! I'm sure it would be fine if I sent it first class.

OOOh - I will MrsMuddle - thank you

Morrisons do a pack of about 20 slices in the frozen section.

Caboc cheese. My favourite. Mmmmmmmm

I misread this as "can I buy a lone sausage south of the border!" I thought, "gosh, she has a small appetite"

I am in the Midlands btw and never heard of it. Is it like the square scottish sausage?

swineofthetimes · 29/07/2009 20:27

It is one and the same lollipop. It reminds me of Uni hangovers . It is comfort food in the extreme.

Very glad to hear that Morrisons stock it - now I need to find a Morrisons.

Oh obviously we are deprived down here.

A friend's mother once cooked some for me about 15 years ago. Oddly enough she got it from Safeways (which is now Morrisons!)

you need somewhere with a big scottish population. like Corby. Also places which have military bases. Asda then often have 'local' food.

swineofthetimes · 29/07/2009 20:35

It is food of the gods (I am a pregnant woman obsessed).

Eccentrica - we do have quite a few RAF bases nearby, so fingers crossed.

I'm pretty sure Farmfoods stock it. I used to get my white pudding & bridies fix there

Cataline · 29/07/2009 20:45

Aldi do it. In the freezer bit.

Thunderduck · 29/07/2009 20:59

You need some plain bread to go with it.

aaaahhhh · 29/07/2009 21:16

Have you tried the 'clyde tunnel' lorne sausage? Mmmmmmmm

Square sausage with a black pudding middle.
