Does buttercream coloured with food colourings ever taste nice

or should I stick to cocoa to make it chocolate flavoured?

I have several food colourings which I never use.

I don't bother with colours neither. I make different flavours but jsut leave it as it is!

Stick to cocoa. Anything else is scary and grim.

Cocoa it is.

I just knew the kids would love a differenbt colour but I remember making delia's green coloured stuff and it tasted vile and ruined the birthday cake.

lemon is nice tho, and doesn't look that bad when it is white.

i make pink or purple ones every week and you can't taste the colouring - tis just a few drops (i always add a little lemon juice and vanilla essence though)

pink only needs about 3 drops of red though...
