What's a friand?

aarghhelp · 16/07/2009 20:57

Possibly Lakelad is your friend, though you should be able to get a single pot of blue colouring more cheaply in a local shop.

Hello again (insomniac) googling friands. Sort of a NZ macaroon? Looks as though muffin tins would do. Apparently Lakeland (as previous link used to do them but don't seem to any more. They do have madeleine tins in the sale though.

This place is good. I think friands are quite Australasian specific, (perhaps French, given the name?) But this place sells an oval-friand tin.

Qally - you are my hero!!! The oval friand tin is perfect!!

thank you - I was getting worried - have not seen friands on these shores although they are ubiquitous back home

Yay! DD's cake is going to be awesome. Thanks again. Good price too. Brilliant
