Hana - as promised:
BEEF & BEANS WITH PASTA (makes enought for 4 adult portions)Charlotte, and her mum & Dad LOVE this:
1 onion
1 clove garlic (I always use more garlic though)
1 carrot
1 stick celery
olice oil
250g good minced beef
400g tin borlotti beans (or just use half a tin depending on personal preference)
1 litre of stock (can be made with stock cube)
400g tin tomatoes
red wine, 2 tablespoons (optional for some but not for me!)
250g macaroni (or gnocchetti or ditalini, whatever those 2 are!)
parmesan
- Put onion, garlic, carrot & celery in processor until you have finely chopped mess
- Cook veggies in olive oil in med-large saucepan for 5 mins, or until soft but not brown
- Add beef & break up with spoon etc until browned
- Add tin (or 1/2 the tin if you don't want too many of them, i used 1/2 the tin personally)
- bit by bit slowly add the stock, the chopped toms and the optional wine
- bring to the boil and add macaroni
- Cook uncovered for 20 mins or so
- much of the liquid should have been absorbed
- Taste for s&p and grate over parmesan
