Can I eat fresh salmon that I froze in Oct 08?

Just found it in the depths of the freezer, is it still safe? It says it can be frozen at home but to eat within a month...

As long as your freezer hasn't had any breakdowns it should be fine. (These could be famous last words as we had frozen beef from Oct 08 tonightas a roast)
