What cheeses to use in four cheese sauce?

Anyone got any recommendations?

Have found lots of recipes on web but they all vary slightly.

I use whatever is in the fridge, but usually cheddar, parmesan, gruyere and marscapone (or dolcelatte, or tallegio)

Ditto on what's in the fridge. I make 4 cheese lasagne with mozzarella, mascarpone, cheddar, and, um, sometimes philadelphia as the 4th

But preferably parmesan, of course...
