There are bubbles when I'm frying this meat - is it ok?

Got some stewing steak cubes out of the freezer this morning and am just frying them off in a little olive oil but there seem to be a lot of bubbles and a lot of liquid - is this normal? Am planning on putting it into a beef bourg sauce in the oven for 90mins...

Probably normal. If you bought the cubes frozen (as opposed to buying fresh and freezing them yourself) they may have had extra water added, and that's what's boiling off.

Sounds like water boiling off.
