Use a naan bread as the base. Seriously, its delicious. Pre bought pizza bases are shite, dough can take an age but naan bread is GORGEOUS.

Just spoon on a bit of passata, some cheese and whatever else (cook any meat you are putting on, and onions)

It takes 5 minutes in teh oven at GAs 7

Delicioso

Ah, genius! Will definitely try that.

Are you Nigella? This is in Nigella Express!

I like pitta breads better - the subtle spicing of the naan jarred taste-wise I thought. And also they stay quite soft and I like my pizza crispy.

It does sound really good, but naan breads are about a MILLION calories each, so not good if you want a nice light snack . I do love them though.

Shhh badgermonkey!

Janeite she must have copied me, I will demand copyright fees immediately!

I think pitta breads go a bit cardboardy when made into mini pizzas

That's why I like them! If they are cooked in a hot oven for a short time though, the top goes nice and crispy but the bottom isn't too hard.

I thought "what's a Gina Ford naan?" [spends too much time on MN emoticon]

Try it! Let me know how it works

For a quick snack I do this with muffins (halved). 'Tis especially yum if you have leftover pasta sauce, as a substitute for passata. Also v popular cold in lunchboxes.

I do this with pitta as well, they're a great size for a toddler.
