I'm making a 6 flour, 3 eggs, 6 sugar, 6 butter sponge cake. I've only got 4 oz of normal sugar but I have some golden caster sugar, will it make my sponge taste odd if I make up the missing 2 oz with it?!
Thanks.

I've used mixed sugar before without any problems, in fact the golden varieties often make the taste better IMO.
