Have planned to do chicken casserole type thing in slow cooker tomorrow and have:

chicken breast (obv. )
carrots
potatoes
onions
sweet potatoes
leeks
chicken stock
flour

Do I bung it all in at the same time or will the leeks be too soggy and need to go in a couple of hours after everything else iyswim??

Hi Simpson,

I had the same question as well, I found on another thread the website MealSavers and they have a whole section on slow cooking and the do's and do nots and they also have a free PDF with 20 exclusive recipes, a few of them are for chicken!

i'll be keen to find out how your sweet potatoes go - i've tried this and they just turned to mush in mine. thinking i may have set it too high (wasn't a major issue, as they dissolved anyway, but interested to know).

yum yum chicken casserole

yes sweet potato seemed to have disappeared

Leeks were ok though

And it tasted yummy

Even got some left over for freezer...
