Hi girls
I'm bored of walking round Sainsbury's and going through receipe books thinking 'what can I make now?'. I'm just not naturally inventive enough. I've made Lottie's food since she was on solids and have now started buying ready prepared foods as well as making some things but I'm just running out of new ideas. I like to give her new things as often as possible. Maybe I need to chill out a bit and realise it's Ok to have a certain amount of foods you have a lot, but if anyone has some ideas that i might not have already done, then it'll give my brain a bit of time off in that area.
key things done already:
currys, Indian & Thai
pasta with butter & parmesan
beef with sweet potato
sausages & mash
all veggies
most fruit
pizza
chicken (goujons & breast)
fish (trout, salmon, cod, makeral & haddock)
spag bol / sheherds pie
mini hotdogs
sandwiches
Is there anything left? Can she have prawns and stuff at 16months old?

Cheers, xx

aha Thomcat, I'm chasing you around the boards here!
I thought this was about giving me and hubby some new and interesting meal ideas!! We always seem to eat the same meals......it's dd that gets the nice stuff!
There's another post about 'what to feed a 21 month old' that's fairly new, check that out for some more ideas.
My dd who is nearly 20 months eats pasta and pesto, pizza, lasagna, fish or chicken fingers/gougons (sp??) with homemade baked chips, chicken salad, loves corn niblets, really she has what we have these days and thinking that over maybe SHE is getting bored too.
Will check back on this with interest soon!

My DS loves cous cous with loads of mint & parsley, spring onions, tomatoes, kidney beans or chick peas. He is also partial to rissotto with all sorts of veggies and feta cheese is another favourite.

Ahh, Sparkle, excellent risotto, not done that one, wicked. Cous Cous has been done and is now becoming unpopular so risotto is a good one, and feta cheese too. I also bought loads of mixed pulses and beans yesterday so will try those out too..... nice one
And Hana, not done pesto yet. My other half makes a wicked homemaed pesto, so...
Cheers girls at least that a few more ideas, nice one, xx
