I need a recipe please. Dh will not continue to fund this habit, and it's the only thing I can keep down.

Anyone? Must be easy peasy. I am pg and dd has chickenpox.

This is ymmy but not exactly slimming...

Ingredients
8oz tagliatelle
2oz butter
4oz button mushrooms, sliced finely
2 slices smoked ham, cut into fine strips
5 fluid oz double cream
freshly grated nutmeg
freshly grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper

Method

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water.
  • Drain the pasta when cooked.
  • Meanwhile fry the mushrooms in the butter in a large frying pan for about 3 minutes.
  • Add the ham, nutmeg and seasoning.
  • Add the cream and simmer gently for 2 minutes.
  • Stir the cooked pasta into the sauce.
  • Serve with parmesan cheese.

Where are you buying it currently? I'm guessing it's some kind of creamy version?

I'd say fry your mushrooms in some butter with some garlic (don't put too many mushrooms in the pan or use a very large pan). Once they're cooked, toss in your chopped ham (I'm assuming you're using cooked ham here of some sort although of course you could use parma ham or even fry some pancetta before you fry the mushrooms). Turn the heat right down and stir in some creme fraiche (I'd say approximately 1tbl per person), salt and pepper.

Serve over tagliatelle with parmesan cheese.

You could also throw a dash of wine in to bubble away before you add the creme fraice.
