I'm really enjoying my subscription and make about a dozen new things out of each magazine but I know MIL buys lots of similar magazines and seems to never try any recipes

I love Good Food mag! I make lots of the recipes - usually try a couple out every weekend, though I sometimes find their timing estimates to be wildly off-kilter.

I've only bought the last two months' plus the special Veggie summer edition, and I have prob tried about three recipes from each. I intend to try lots more.

I realised I was getting old when I didn't want to buy Heat, Grazia or even a pregnancy magazine. Only the foodie ones appealed.

I've just subscribed to Delicious magazine, and am kicking myself that I didn't go for Good Food instead. Had a flick through a mate's collection of Deliciouses and they didn't seem to have nearly as many promising recipes.

their cakes are fab. Have just made the rhubarb and custard cake from May's issue for the 2nd time. yum

There's a white choc & berry cheesecake I've promised myself the dds this weekend.

I try a couple- usually with varying degrees of success.

I can also recommend Easy Cook as well- greta for simpler stuff.

i get food mags all the time and very rarely make a thing out of any of them! i love reading them and saving them, its the same with cookbooks i have a huge collection! i like getting ideas so a lot of the recipes will inspire me to try certain things or use certain ingredients,

i like the pictures

made it last weekend Epithet, it's amazing and soooooooo simple. I think it needs more amaretti biscuits though as the cheesey bit is so rich. I think next time I make it I will push a layer of biscuits in and then add another layer

MadamAnt, yes, my mag buying profile has undergone a radical change lately too - I used to get Cosmopolitan and Heat, now it's Good Food and Numberjacks Magazine .

Oooh, thanks for the tip, shoppingbags. Will buy double the amount of amaretti biscuits tomorrow .
