I sometimes make a really nice lamb casserole - layer of chopped potatoes, onions, then lamb and bacon, more onion and some whole peeled potatoes ontop, with herbs and stock. Thing is I had some odds and ends to use up so have put a layer of whole (!) new potatoes, diced pork, mushroom potage , few bits of herbs and some new potatoes ontop... will it be ok? Have no idea of new potatoes cook in the oven - I thought "well, they are still potatoes..." Please tell me this will cook and I won't end up with 1/2 raw potatoes and dodgy meat Thanks

I'd have thought that would be fine.

I do whole new potatoes on top of casseroles in the slow cooker and it's been fine. After all, the new potatoes aren't huge are they?

Sounds nice. You can come round with it later!

Phew! Thanks. Fingers crossed the DSs actually eat it now (if they don't, you can have it Jux )

Sounds good to me . I do similar things and DC can get a bit ratty when they find odd things in spag bol or casserole ! Be inventive I say !
