Jam

mrsmaidamess · 22/05/2009 13:35

Jam every time. The chewier the better, not those dry cakey ones from Sainsburys.

Whats the point of a ring doughnut?

morningpaper · 22/05/2009 13:35

jam

PlumBumMum · 22/05/2009 13:37

When I was a little girl, ring ones were called gravy rings and I loved them!

love krispy kremes too

Cies · 22/05/2009 13:37

jam or apple.

PlumBumMum · 22/05/2009 13:39

Haven't said that in years, it dosen't sound right now

stripeypineapple · 22/05/2009 13:39

My DD wanted a doughnut a while ago but she couldn't remember what they were called so she asked for a sugary burger I knew what she meant.

Grumpy0ldWotz · 22/05/2009 13:40

well I had to google krispy kremes

I'll stick to jam.

plum that reminded me of Lardy Cake, which I haven't had in years (I'm getting rather peckish now) ummm

Ring donuts fresh at the seaside
Jam donuts if not
Krispy Kreme are heaven... but too much of a trek to get them where we are

PlumBumMum · 22/05/2009 13:46

Grumpy I only had a krispy kreme on Holiday in America they were giving them away free at a St Patricks Day parade, and I think they've been mentioned in Sex and The City

Grumpy0ldWotz · 22/05/2009 13:47

I see

chick flick cakes

Jam. And sugar not icing sugar.

DoNotAnnoy · 22/05/2009 13:49

If hot (at seaside) - ring dosed in sugar

If cold jam.

Also quite partial to a long cream donut too.

MadamAnt · 22/05/2009 13:57

jam

MadamAnt · 22/05/2009 13:58

The problem with a ring is that it contains less doughnut. That can't be a good thing.

Jux · 22/05/2009 13:59

Jam. Most definitely jam, and with proper sugar on not hte bloody icing stuff. Wrong wrong wrong

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 22/05/2009 13:59

Jam unless freshly fried, then ring.

Cadelaide · 22/05/2009 13:59

i loathe all doughnuts.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/05/2009 14:02

ring, only fresh though

pollywobbledoodle · 22/05/2009 14:02

jam, proper sugar, warm, no child nearby

quickdrawmcgraw · 22/05/2009 14:06

jam, I feel cheated by the ring ones. Like someone's snaffled the best bit.

giantkatestacks · 22/05/2009 14:08

yum yums instead...

CherryChoc · 22/05/2009 14:11

"Jam"?? Rings?? Long CREAM doughnuts?

I think I just have a dirty mind then again I've never really liked doughnuts.
