Hummus?
Stirred into casseroles?

Curry? Like this?

Hummous - but I can't remember how.

Fry some mushrooms, onions, garlic in a pan. Add tomatoes and a little chilli. Add chickpeas. Leave to simmer. Add partially cooked pasta (small size if possible, the stuff used for soup is good). Pour mixture in a casserole. Cover with bechamel sauce.

They are lovely cooked with chicken and cumin,

I have some in my slow cooker right now.
They are tinned rather than frozen but can be used the same way. Tin of CPs, tin of kidney beans, tin of toms, tin of tom puree, 2 cloves of garlic, one chopped onion, tsp of sugar and tsp of dried mixed herbs.
Leave all day on low so the flavours mellow and then we'll have tonight in wraps with sour cream and salad.

We'll only use half and I'll freeze the rest. It's nicer with chilli in but DD hates chilli so I'll just put jalapenos in my wraps.

They are nice with couscous and lamb.

DD would prefer not to eat pulses, but tough! and she at least tolerates them this way, they go really soft with the SC.
It's cheap and easy too, and quick really as it's not long to chuck them in the slow cooker (took me 5 minutes this morning) so no real time spent, SC does it all for me.

I sometimes mash the leftovers and serve on the side of meat, say chicken thighs instead of doing potato, or spreading on a wrap and topping with fresh tomato and cheese and baking, kind of beany pizza.
We're just having them with salad on the side tonight but you can put the salad in the wrap, or cover them with tomato sauce, top with cheese and bake in the oven.
