Father in law brought us a lovely big bag of chicken breasts. Usually individually wrapped, I plonked the whole bag in the freezer.
Last night I discovered that they weren't individualy wrapped after all, and so I had a big giant ball of frozen chicken breast to contend with.
Realising that it would not defrost thouroughly if I just left it in the fridge, I decided it was either the bin, or a bowl of cold water. So, last night I dunked it in a big bowl of water to aid the defrosting!
Now, it smells ok, but it's gone white. I am not sure if I've killed it. I dont want to throw it away uneccessarily. I also don't want to poison my family......argh!
Help!!
