What beef is best suited to beef carpaccio?

Really want to prepare my own beef carpaccio for party next week end. Only ever bought it ready prepared from supermarket in Spain. Is it better to use fillet or would another cut suit better??
Absolutely love it with parmessan shavings and drizzled with chilli oil served on a thin piece of fresh bread, yum.
Also, any other nice ideas for nibbles?

Definitely fillet - anything else is unlikely to be tender enough.

Fillet, bought 'whole' as and cooked like a chateaubriand, then sliced v thinly. Your lucky guests!
