Mushroom pasta for DS who doesn't like mushrooms

I know it doesn't make sense. DS doesn't like mushrooms but he really enjoys the mushroom pasta he gets at nursery. I keep meaning to get the recipe from them but haven't managed to yet. So the challenge is to guess what it might be. I'm guessing the sauce is blitzed to get all the lumps out. Will it be based on a white / cheese sauce? Any ideas?

I would try mushrooms chopped small, mixed with white sauce, or with a bit of cream or philadephia cheese and some parmesan. (also lovely if you add a bit of nutmeg and white wine) Fry the shroomies first and then add the other stuff into pan and heat through.

It might be that he likes the taste when they have cheesy sauce on them. if they were all blitzed how would he know it was mushrooms?

I went with your suggestion muffle, and it was well received, although I added onion and apparently the nursery one doesn't have onion. Oh well, you can't get everything right.

nursery maybe provides pasta with baxter's mushroom soup
