can i half cook lasenya and to eat later?

sorry about the spelling!!! Basically i want to prepare a lasenya (sp) so when my partner gets home i just have to put it in the oven. Could i fry the mince, add the ingrediants and layer it and leave it on the side for a few hours before i put it in the oven? or should i put it in the fridge? then i can just put it in the oven when he gets in? The reason i'm asking is my partner doesnt finish till 10pm so i dont fancy cooking at that time from scratch. Thank you.

yes its fine, in fact i usually find the longer you leave stuff like this before eating the better it tastes

Put it in the fridge but nancy 75 is right bolognese always tastes better the longer it is left

I'd cook the whole thing now and pop it back in the oven about half an hour before your due to eat (sp lasagne not that it matters)

Yes, thats what i do. I basically make the lasagne so all i need to do is pop it into the oven. Just put clingfilm on it and put it in the fridge. I find it needs about 30/40mins to cook though so that the pasta is nice and soft.

I make mine in the morning and leave it on the side with tin foil over the top.

ps agree with nancy75 and plumbummum - these things always taste better the longer they're left

thanks thats great! I'm thinking of making it about 3ish and leaving it in microwave (out of way) with foil over the top. Then it's just add the cheese and bang back in the oven! Thanking you!
