I am new to cake making - please would a kind Mumsnetter come and help!?
Have made trial run cake and all seems ok so far so am hoping to not have to do another one, but DS birthday is not until a week tomorrow.
Can you put the following steps in the right order and tell me when I should do each bit so that it's ready for next Friday for me please?
- cut cake into pattern
- freeze cake
- ice cake
- store cake ready for eating / defrost cake
Stupid questions:
- can I ice it now and then freeze it?
- Can I refreeze it once iced?
- assuming I can't do either of those, how long will it keep and where do I keep it once it's iced?
