honey and mustard ( with mash and green beans)

sticky thai dipping sauce smeared on for the last couple of mins on the grill (with noodles or rice and stir fried veg with frsh chillis)

Am rubbish at cooking chops-I can always bounce them off the floor

Whole grain mustard. Smear it over the chops before cooking in a pan with mushrooms. Then when the chops are cooked add cream and stir to make a smooth sauce. Very nice, very fattening

cook slowly with onions garlic and cider. then add dab of creme fraiche at the end and some fresh chopped basil.

OrmIrian · 17/04/2009 14:33

I was going to suggest a slow cooker too. Any sort of meat chucked in a slow cooker with some wine perhaps and a few veg while be nice.

HeadFairy · 17/04/2009 14:33

Grate some cheddar, mix in a bowl with whole grain mustard. Grill chops on one side until almost done, turn chops and put cheese/mustard mix on top to melt and turn golden.

MuppetsMuggle · 17/04/2009 14:44

yeah I have a slow cooker, I use it for stews and casseroles etc

Pork parcels - stick them on a square on foil, season & top with sliced onions, mushrooms & peppers. Dot with butter. You can add a dash of white wine or spoonful of cream if you like. Seal up the parcel & pop in the oven for 25-30 mins at 180/Gas 4.
Serve with mash, jacket potatoes, rice or a nice big salad

MuppetsMuggle · 17/04/2009 14:49

rub with garlic and sage and season with salt and pepper.
wrap tightly in bacon.Brush with a little honey.
cover in foil and bake in oven for 25mins at about 180.Then remove foil and bake for another 10 mins till browned and crispy.

Serve with either wedges or mash and green veg/salad.

Iklboo · 17/04/2009 14:57

MM - it's really easy to prepare in advance to & stick in the oven later in the day

fabulous.

Thunderduck · 17/04/2009 15:09

Schnitzel is breaded meat.Usually pork, but can also be made with veal or chicken. It's a German/Austrian dish.

You bash the pork chops about a bit with a rolling pin or other implement. Get some flour and season it. I like pepper, salt, onion salt, garlic powder and smoked paprika in mine, a teaspoon or so of each, but you can use almost anything.
Dip the meat in the seasoned flour and coat, then dip in the egg then into breadcrumbs.

Then fry it in a pan. It's so good.

I like it with potato salad, or cauliflower cheese and veg. But you could have anything with it really. I want it now.

It is. I recommend using more than just salt and pepper. An extra spice or two and it's incredible.
