We bought a fresh turkey at xmas, cut it in half and froze half. We want to eat it at easter, so ive taken it out of the freezer and its defrosted thoroughly now, but its huge! What am i "allowed" to do with it?

Can i cook some and then freeze it, but will have to re-heat it? can i make turkey burgers, not cooked but frozen and then cook later? Wot about turkey pie?

Please can someone explain, very simply please, wot i can do with a spare chunk of defrosted turkey? and how long does defrosted turkey last?

Thanks in advance x

You can freeze things once raw (which you have done), and once cooked.

So yes, you could cook it and the freeze the cooked turkey again. I am a bit more hazy about how many times you can reheat, but I guess in general as few times as possible, and heat to as hot as possible.
