All my fail safes have been done to death so i really need something new for this weekend, a night in with the girls.

It needs to transport well, be able to be out of the fridge for a while and be easy but delicious.

Ones i have done to death are:
bannoffee pie
lime cheesecake
chocolate mousse
carrot cake (not really a dessert but often requested!)

Would love some new inspiration please. No real dislikes so all suggestions (and links to recipes ) welcome please!

On a totally different track all together what about a huge selection of choccie dipped fruit, marshmallows etc or take fruit etc and when there melt a huge amount to choccie with a bit of double cream and you can all sit around dipping fruit and sweeties in hot creamy choccie. [drooooolllll]

this is LUSH and easy and fairly impressive

oysterpots · 07/04/2009 14:21

or lemon if you prefer

LOL! Will try to find, if not I'll type it out. It is truely delish. An indulgent but not too rich chocolate cake, which is flourless IIRC so has a soft moist texture

geordieminx · 07/04/2009 16:59

personally I would prefer this

Ohforfoxsake · 07/04/2009 17:51

delicious Geordieminx!

But incase you can't get your lips round that, here's the ameretti chocolate cake

notamumyetbutoneday · 08/04/2009 09:29

Geordieminx he'd be no good as a dessert for a girls night in- that would mean I would have to share him!

right ladies a decision has been made and ingredients purchased (having enlisted 3 Morrisons staff to help me find sponge fingers and marscapone)

I am making the Baileys Tiramisu tonight so wish me luck!

I've also printed the ameretti cake recipe Fox as I love Amaretti biscuits so i think that will be next on my list!

Oops a hot cross- love the idea of this but did it with DH last week so fancy a change

Oysterpots- those desserts sound yummy but non metric measurements scare me- I don't get the cup thing- surely cups are all different sizes?!

Trillian- the tiramisu was AMAZING! All the girls loved it. It was soo rich you didnt need much- although that didn't stop us scoffing the lot! Its going to be a regular favourite from now on, thanks again.

(I only found this thread because Hecate confessed she started each Mning day by searching to see if anyone had been talking about her, and I thought it sounded like a fun idea )
