I normally go with Asda but thought I would try one of the other two instead.

Which do you prefer? & why? If you don't mind me being nosey

Have been online shopping every week with Tescos for years - at least 8! I love them but many on here don't (although the Tescos Promotional Codes topic here is very popular )

You do get the occasional mistake but they refund if you call and explain and I've always found them very pleasant to deal with.

Not tried Sainsbury's - not particularly keen on their food - but much prefer Tescos to Waitrose, which I'd been led to believe was the Holy Grail of online shopping but I certainly didn't find it so.

Sainsbury's much better than Tesco. Tesco cancelled my last order because they couldn't get authorisation on the payment card I'd given. This obviously wasn't their fault (nor mine, I hasten to add) but despite having my email address and home and mobile numbers they neglected to contact me so I could give them alternative card details and failed to tell me they'd cancelled the order. I had a 4 day old baby and it was, as you can imagine, the last thing I needed! Tesco Customer Services were totally unsympathetic and refused to follow up my complaint. I imported my shopping list into www.mysupermarket.com and went with Sainsbury instead. It was much cheaper, everything I'd ordered arrived and the delivery man was lovely.

I personally prefer Sainsburys, used to use Tesco, but some of the food they delivered was on its sell by date on the day it was delivered, I even had a pack of mouldy tomatoes sent.
I also prefer the fact that Sainsburys delivery slots are only one hour where as /tescos are 2 hour slots, so more waiting IYKWIM.

I'm on mysupermarket now & Sainsbury's is working out cheaper for my shopping this time around so will be giving them a go & see how I get on with them.

I didn't know the delivery slots were only an hour with them either, no more waiting with stroppy toddler because we've said we'll go out "when the shopping gets here" Always seems to take an eternity when you're waiting around for them

I prefer Tesco's. But i only do a 'store cupboard' order every 3 or 4 months.

Also tesco have just reduce their delivery charges on a tuesday and wednesday (£3.00 or £3.50).

see, that could sway me to Tesco. Mine's a months tins & frozen veg, big wash powder kind of shop then I buy the fresh stuff weekly.

TBH I think it all comes down to how good your local tesco's is for delivery v how good your local Sainsburys.

I don't think there is a nationwide rule.
