Not sure about giving DS1 peanut butter.

DS1 keeps asking for a bite of our sandwich which is normally fine but we haven't given him peanut butter yet. Everyone says to give it to him at a hospital but the closest is an hour away. We're not too keen on the idea of organising a day out to the nearest city just to give him peanut butter. He is 2 btw.

Has anyone given their DCs peanut butter without going to the hospital car park or should we just leave it until we are next there shopping?

I see where you're coming from, christywhisty. And I'm glad you haven't had to deal with escalating reactions .

I do just get a bit concerned when I hear people (not you) saying that their DC's have had a reaction, but it was very mild, so they don't need worry about Epipens etc etc etc. DH's reactions were very mild at first, so hie parents didn't worry too much, and they very nearly lost him at 17 .

I find it very hard to strike the right balance between not being complacent and not being completely neurotic!!!
