I just found a 2inch splinter of wood in my DC's box of cereal- what do I do now?

It's a box of rice pops from Sainsbury's.

We've had them for a while so no hope of finding the receipt but as I was pouring the cereal out it fell into one of the bowls. On closer inspection the box has a puncture hole at the bottom where it must have got in.

What do I do? Take it back to the shop or send it back to Sainsbury's?

Will they believe me?

you can phone the number on side of box they'll ask you maybe to send it to them or they'll send you something to apologize

Thanks, surely I'll have to prove it though or anyone could do that?

Sue Sue Sue

Seriously though I would ring Sains first, if the puncture came from the outside it may have happened there rather than at manufacture.

I rang Sainsbury's and they were very aplogetic, have refunded me the price of the cereal and are sending me £10 as a goodwill gesture.

Mmmmm wine and chocolate methinks!
