No idea, sorry, I only clicked on the thread because I was confused as to what you were doing with baked beans in quiche lorranie!

Maybe this bump will help.

Dried chickpeas.

OrmIrian · 11/03/2009 15:18

Me too trillian

I always bake mine with the filling in. I've never baked it blind. Are you supposed to?

Anyway, any kind of dried bean will do.

HumphreyCobbler · 11/03/2009 15:18

i use scrunched up silver foil

notamumyetbutoneday · 11/03/2009 15:19

ive heard of people using dried rice although never done it myself

notamumyetbutoneday · 11/03/2009 15:19

i mean uncooked rice, as opposed to cooked

TrillianAstra · 11/03/2009 15:22

I was wondering what you were doing with baked beans in a quiche too.

I bake my quiche with the filling in it.
