I've got 12. They're from the farm that does my veg box. I'd like to use them up so would be grateful of any ideas.

will you hate me if i say omelette? or frittata (potatoes), or "spanish omelette" which is an excuse to bung everything in the fridge in an omelette

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 02/03/2009 10:46

mayo!

lilolilmanchester · 02/03/2009 10:48

Do you have any leeks? Boil eggs, halve them. Add cooked leeks and cover in cheese or white sauce. Top with mashed potato and optionally grated cheese. Stick in oven or under grill. It's gorgeous, and I'm not vegetarian.

Quiche?

gscrym · 02/03/2009 10:49

Of course I wouldn't hate you for saying omelette.

Is there a rule on how many eggs you're supposed to eat in a week?

I wish I liked egg mayo. I'm very strange when it comes to eggs. I like scrambled, omelette and french toast. I don't like anything that has the yolk obvious like fried, poached etc.

Home made pasta (DH's recipe uses 10 eggs)?

Lemon Meringue pie?

Egg mayonnaise sandwiches for lunch?

Gorionine · 02/03/2009 10:51

cheese or chocolate souffle?
(I know which one I would go for !)

gscrym · 02/03/2009 10:52

What's the pasta recipe and would I need one of those fancy machines?

Yummy egg custard then meringues with the left over whites

Gorionine · 02/03/2009 10:53

I think it is 1 egg per 100g of flour for the home made pasta.

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 02/03/2009 10:54

Egg custard?
Batch of cakes for the freezer?
Add hard-boiled eggs to home-made potato salad. V yummy.
Meringues with the whites, lemon curd with the yolks?
Egg fried rice.
Spaghetti carbonara.

Creme Caramel,

use 2 eggs and 2 heaped teaspoons of sugar to each mug of milk, whisk it all together. (3 mugs works well)add more sugar if you like it sweet!

Cover bottom of mold with sugar, heat until caramalised, allow to cool.
Add custard mix (see above)
place in hot water bath in oven at 400 degrees f, sorry not sure what that is in proper temps! until set.

YUM!

You would need something like this for making pasta.

DH does 1oz of flour per egg yolk + good pinch of salt (1 of the eggs goes in whole)
