Doing my shopping on Sainburystoyou and trying to find grilled aubergines in olive oil ... all they have is 'aubergine mezzaluna' and I'm wondering if this is something I could use in the aubergine lasagne I'm planning! I thought a mezzaluna was a herb chopper?

It is a herb chopper.

Dh says to do the aubergines yourself. Slice them and in a hot pan with oil quickly fry them. Dont cook them through as they will cook in the lasagne.

You will be so chuffed if you do it yourself and it sounds yummy!

Thanks collision! I was planning to be lazy though

So what do you think 250g of Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Aubergine Mezzaluna actually is?!

i'ld expect it to be half moon shaped fresh pasta filled with aubergine

Have no idea. How much is it? ie cost

If it is expensive I would think it could be something to have as a starter with bread?? Let me know

£2.49 for 250g. I'm probably not going to order it so may never know! I thought maybe it was finely chopped aubergine?
