Can you freeze smoked mackrel fillets?

You know the peppered ones you get in a packet. Doesn't say so on the packet but I'm thinking, why not? Anyone know?

I've done this, though mine was bought from Waitrose fish counter and fishmonger there said yes you can freeze

Love smoked mackerel. With a little bit of mayo, perhaps on a slice of ciabatta. Mmmmmmm..........

the only reason i can think that it would be a no is if it's already been frozen. tis from waitrose but not from counter, in a packet. thanks, think i'll risk it.
