bombay potatoes

or do I need them? As I haven't got any & nowhere around here sells stuff like that

supermarkets sell them in the spice/herb section

we only have a co-op and Tesco extra & neither have them. I looked a while ago for them for something else then didn't bother doing it because I forgot all about adding them to my sopping list. If it needs them then I will put off making them until I go to town & can pick them up

mustard seeds do add a lot to dishes like these, I think. Ideally I'd have them in. Asian supermarkets sell them very cheaply if there's one near you.

We do but it's in town. I will leave it until I next go into town to try, thanks Habbibu

my bombay potato recipe also asks for mustard seeds and in the past i have substituted a teaspoon of coarse/whole grain mustard instead.

didn't think of that notamumyet, will remember for next time though, thanks
