Chocolate sponge cake to be baked this afternoon and eaten on Saturday. Would you freeze?

Wrap it tightly in foil, but don't freeze, I'd say. It'll get a bit damp, which is a plus with a chocolate cake, I reckon.

It wouldn't last till Sat in this house, it would get eaten unless I hid it and destroyed evidence of baking. Don't bother freezing like Hab says, it will still be way fresher than a bought one!

I wouldn't freeze it either but make sure its protected (from prying fingers as well as bugs), I'd put it in tupperware box if you have or in a tin or in foil or freezer bag tied up.
