Am taking kids to a local Thai restaurant next week as they've only ever eaten my (delish!) Thai Green curry and need initiating . Dh won't come as he claims not to like Thai food so just me and two older kids. (11 and 13). Inspire me! What shall we order. Am drooling already and have just finished dinner!!

Oh yum. I generally find portions are very tiny so when eating in a Thai restaurant order lots and lots of dishes and share them like tapas, that way you get to try lots of things.

Love the starters esp Thai fishcakes, the prawny wonton type things with spicy fish saucey dip, all of it really [greedy emoticon]! And yes, I always share

Tom Yam Gung. Spend years perfecting it and now very rarely cook it, but always go for it if in a resto.

Love practically all Thai starters. Satay is divine.

Main courses - Pad Thai is good. Red /yellow curries are nice and usually slightly milder than green curry. 'Jungle curries' are the hottest, I believe.

I love Thai stir fries, too.
