Beans and lentils, put in some red split lentils to your stew or make a dalh with tomatoes not cocnut cream. Beans, think chcikpeas, kidney beans pop them in a vegtable chilli or a mince chilli.
Carrots contain pectin which has been shown to lower cholesterol, apples, citrus fruits, strawberries, and raspberries also contain pectin. Snack on carrots and humous, fruit salads or fruit on or with breakast.
Garlic is really good at lowering cholestral. Use in your stews
Nuts such as walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, and almonds. These are good for snacking
Sesame seeds, celery, lettuce, asparagus, spinach, tomatoes, ginger, squash. Salad with these and an oily fish.
Seafood such as salmon, tuna, and sardines are rich in omega-3s. It can also be found in soybean, and olive oil.
