It's 10pm here in Oz, there's no freaking way I'm going to make another crust and then bake a 2nd pie tonight, but there's that much filling leftover - any suggestions?

freeze it for another time?

phdlife · 13/02/2009 12:05

(have just lived 9 years with no freezer - no idea what's ok/not to freeze, iykwim)

air tight container.. mark what's in the container and freeze.. should be fine for about 3 months i reckon

i'm with bcns - freeze it!

Alternatively just eat with ice-cream in the next few days!

Chop it up and put it in oatmeal tomorrow. MMM apple cinnamon oatmeal is the best.

MKG we'd have enough to feed a battalion

And while me and ds (21m) are hogs, we're not that hoggy

Well you don't have to use it all . Just throwing out ideas. But apple pie filling on it's own is so good, I'd just grab a fork and dig in.

DisasterArea · 13/02/2009 12:40

eat it

bellavita · 13/02/2009 12:53

Freeze it, or have some with yoghurt on top.

I have also been known to just dig in and eat it on its own like MKG!

Don't forget to put whipped cream on top though!
