if i use strawberry flavouring in buttercream icing will it go pink?

May sound daft but I have visions of ending up with orangey coloured icing because the strawberry flavuoring is a redish colour & the icing will be buttery coloured iygwim?

Test it in a bit of the buttercream first if your not sure.

Get pink food colouring then you can have super pink cakes!

use strawberry jam (the smooth kind) works a treat!

that's if it's buttercream icing, of course.

never thought of strawberry jam, will try that instead of the flavouring I bought. I just had awful visions of ending up with random cloured icing but will use jam . . . gives me an excuse to get some for toast then!
