I have a tub of sour cream...any thoughts?

Would like to do some baking with dd tomorrow - all the recipes I can find online are crazy American ones with quantities in cups.

Also thinking about using some in a meal later this week (we had stroganoff for dinner, hence the leftovers). Any ideas? It's not something I usually buy...

I make chicken fajitas and bung sour cream and spring onions on the top.

rolandbrowning · 07/02/2009 22:30

It's nice in mash.

Easy pasta - mix with can of salmon

MaureenMLove · 07/02/2009 22:31

A simple jacket spud with cheese and sour cream, gets my vote!

Lilyloo · 07/02/2009 22:31

We generally have it with fajitas or to take away the 'spiciness' of curry / chili for dc.
Although have used it up in mashed potato before now!

oh no I think nigella or Rachael Allen use sour cream in quite a few things

have you tried their websites for ideas?

MaplePecanPlait · 07/02/2009 22:31

snickersnack · 07/02/2009 22:35

dizzy - Nigella has a chocolate cake recipe online that will be perfect. And I think we'll have fajitas tomorrow night...sorted

Dice red onion and grate strong cheddar, mix into sour cream and serve on jacket spuds (or with doritos for snacks)?

QuintessentialShadows · 07/02/2009 22:39

waffles.

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 22:43

will you lot behave yourselves - she's found a chocolate cake receipe

snickersnack · 07/02/2009 22:47

But she's still skulking around, drooling at the thought of jacket potato with grated cheese, sour cream and red onion. If only I hadn't announced at tea time today that everyone was having lots of vegetables for lunch tomorrow, I'd serve that up like a flash. Followed by waffles...
