Last time I had a glut of pears I made this Nigella pear and chocolate pudding. I think I halved the amounts as her recipe is for 6-8 people and I was making it for 4. The recipe also says use tinned pears but I used fresh and it worked well.

Also, I didn't make the sauce. We just had custard

I haven't got enough pears for that this time round, they're just a couple that the lo hasn't eaten & are starting to look a bit tired, thought I'd do them with a couple of apples & some blueberries maybe.

It sounds yummy but does it taste very dark chocolatey iykwim? as my oh isn't keen on dark choc

Make a flapjack mixture.
Layer half down in the bakingtray
Then add the raw sliced pears
Top with remaining flapjack mixture

= Pear Flapjack. Very lush. (let me know if you want a flap jack recipie)

PestoBlizzardMonster · 06/02/2009 14:28

Don't you mean a pair of pears ?

lucysmam · 06/02/2009 14:30

pear flapjack, never thought of that before. not sure there's enough for that either though

I'll have an investigate on my way through the kitchen . . .

I have a flapjack recipe although I never get it right, but will be trying them out on baking day
