The packet says 180 for 1 and a half hours. What temperature would I cook it at if I want it to take 4 hours?

euwwww, sounds like an o'level maths question to me.

Kayleigh · 07/04/2005 13:42

Meant to add, probably about 160.
Why do you need it to cook for so long ?

MumOnaMission · 07/04/2005 13:43

cos I gotta go out and I want it ready for when I get back.

personally I'd do it lower - about 120 because the liquid might boil off and you won't be around to top it up

MumOnaMission · 07/04/2005 13:45

nice one thanks for your help ladies. See you later.

iotas probably right. My oven is cr*p at low temps so i tend to hike it up a bit. If you've got a decent oven go with iota.

mines a fan oven and always seems to cook faster than recommended

Got fan assisted oven so did it at 120 and it was perfect. Thanks.
