Have just made steak and kidney pudding (minus the kidney)

thinking that it was a nice credit crunch meal. Huh! I worked out it cost me getting on for £7 for just the pudding, without veg

Most of my DC (and me) have had more than enough of mince. That might have made it cheaper.

Just fed up with pasta and rice all the time.

I love kidney - I always put it in stew and h and the dc pick it all out but it adds a lovely flavour.

I bet your dinner was tasty though!

It was lovely stirling Heavenly in fact. All the DCs ate it inspite of initial resistance by DD and DS#2. DH and DS#1 had a fight over the last bit.

I love kidney too. As does DH. Not the DCs though.

Do they eat mushrooms. I sometimes add them to baulk out the steak.

They don't mind mushrooms. I'd be more likely to eat lentils though. I wanted to make it as authentically as possible but will know better in future.

I can't use lentils, dh refuses to eat them.

I've tried hiding them in spag bog or shepherds pie and won't eat them.
