Neck of lamb - take off bone to casserole?

Dh has bough neck of lamb - quick q - do I casserole it on the bone then take the bones out when cooked or take it off the bone first? It's for children too so don't want bits of bone floating around.

i usually cook on the bone it flavors better slow cook it and should just fall off bone when cooked
